I am a real newb, been reading and have a general idea of what I think I want.

To start I have:
Computer:
AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+
1 gig ram
Asus nVIDIA GeFORCE N6600
Stock on board sound (probable trash?
200 Gig HD (20 used) (is this enough?)
Windows XP sp2

I have 2 didgital cable boxs:
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 1840
both have IR port on back

1) Which would be the best PCI PVR card for me,
only need single tuner like .hauppauge
WinTv-PVR-150. Don't need FM my cable provider
offers all my local FM and AM stations.
2)Do I need software? Which and where to buy?
3)Can I get and us a IR to USB cable to control the dedicated
to PVR cable box? Or do I need to use USB-VIRT?Will
this interfer with the IR on the other box?
4)Do I, will I need to upgrade sound card?
5)I assume I will be able to watch on one monitor(2 monitor set-up)
and work on the other? Can I have it play solely on my TV?
6) Will there be enough resources that I can work on my computer and
PVR at the same time?
7) I would preferr to use the Explorer 1840 to PVR as it does not
provide the lobby watch feature in my apartment but if it needs to be the 3200
oh well!

I am sure that there is lots of information I didn't provide, and lots
I din't ask for but need.
If you would care to point me in that direction also would be great.

If I should be posting else where send me please!!
I am usualy pretty good at figuring things out by reading,
which I will do a lot of! I just need to know where to start.
I don;t want to make alot of mistakes and later have peeps tell me why didn't you ask?

Any and all help GREATLY APRECIATED!!
