I just upgraded my Mobo to an Asus A8V 939 chipset and a AMD 64 3500 Venice processor. I have everything installed in a way that looks right, but when I power up my system, I get no video. I tried replugging everything in, but still nothing. I have a 6800gt AGP. Any ideas at all? I reset my cmos too..... thanks in advance.

Do your fans, hard drive, and video card fan spin up when you turn the power on? Is your vid card getting (any/enough) power from the PSU? Any beep codes or voice warnings from your speakers?

Make sure you have the extra 4-pin connector on the mobo plugged in, as well as seperate molex/6-pin to the gfx card done.
 
Yeah make sure the the 4 pin "block" connector is plugged in. I would get a black boot screen without it. Its in this shape:

it also may have an older bios in it. take out all your ram except 1 stick. there was a bug with this board with bios version older that 1009 and the RevE chips that if there was more than 1 stick in initially it wouldn't post.
 
i put the new x2 bios on my a8v-deluxe and it made a world of diffrence--super stable overclocks to as high as 285fsb stable in 2000pro running a venice 3000-e3-- although it got flakey above 289--i will say it changed my via hateing mind .

also check all the power leads and or the psu or the psu itself-- a-64 are finikey about power

and all the general stuff--like everything is plugged in right--ram is sockets--cpu seated right--ect-ect--

How has it gone, working yet? Just for the sake of curiosity, what PSU do you have? Heck, why not list everything including make and I'll calculate your power requirements for you. :)
 
Everything is plugged in correctly. I have an antec trupower 400 so I should be fine. I think I'm going to take my mobo out with everything on it and see if it was a grounding issue with it being seated poorly.
 
Turns out it was seated improperly and wasx shoring itself out. I just took the mobo outta the case w/everything on it and it booted up. Guess I should go by new mounting shit, I was using really crappy ones.
