Help the naive: New networking setup

I've been looking for a while at doing wireless networking in my home for my laptop and my consoles. I got a Wireless-G Access Point from a co-worker yesterday on the cheap, and it motivated me to get this going. I put something together here, including the 24-port router we use when we LAN, and just wanted to make sure this setup was correct.

I assume that the PC is plugged into a different port on the router than the modem? If so, that should work.
