I'm not sure if I should be asking for help here, but...

Anyways, Im seeing these weird colorful blotches all over my environmental textures in pretty much all my games. Check the enclosed pictures. Has anybody seen this kind of glitch? What could be causing it? Thanks for any advice.

Try installing different drivers for your video card. Almost 100% sure that will fix it.

I tried the latest Nvidia drivers, but that didnt help. Maybe I should downgrade?

What would be a good driver set for a Geforce FX 5700LE?

I found w/ my 5700LE that the best driver was the 66.93. It gave me the best performance and graphics. I had a similar problem w/ HL2, where the shadows were greenish. The 66.93s minimized it for me, but it was still there.

Doesn't look like something i would see if it was corrupted video memory. They look just like the bug i get in some games (Mostly Serious Sam SE and Sometimes in Painkiller). But never that bad.

Could you try 3DMark and see if it's still there?

Maybe you're overclocking and the textures got scalded :D

Nope, everything is stock, unless the manufacturer did it themselves...

actually the first screen shot looks like someone took a magnet to your screen.. but then that wouldn't show up in a screen shot..anywho If I recall correctly I had some discoloration in hl2 but not in spots like that... I think my driver update took care of it though
