I've been having problems getting my rig to run stable. About a week ago, after upping my vcore voltage to 1.46 my computer was prime95 stable. Ran 12+ hours on the middle torture test (in-place large ftts). Installed BF2. Played BF2, only to have it crash on me anywhere from 20 mins to an hour after playing. Fast forward to yesterday. Up my vdimm to 2.85 (from 2.75 IIRC) and haven't crashed BF2 yet. I played BF2 for a solid 3 hours lastnight (lol). Decided, maybe I should prime95 this bad boy just to make sure all is in order. After about 2 hours I ended up with the stop code on my screen (I have auto-restarts disabled).
0x0000007F is the stop code. I've only ever gotten this code when I've prime95's my computer. I've gotten an 0x0000008E and 0x0000007E after gaming for awhile though, but haven't seen any of these as of late. I ran memtest86 and put it through 2 full cycles and not one error came up.
Anyone have any idea what the 0x0000007F stop code means?? I've pretty much ruled out the RAM as being the culprit, as it passed memtest86 and the prime95 middle torture test (in-place large ftt's) doesn't test ram at all really.
One thing that bugs mean the most about running prime95 is that my vcore, which is set to 1.47, drops all the way down to 1.39 under load. I know the p4p's and p4c's are plagued with the vcore droop problem, but could this alone by why I get this stop error?
