Help, start up issues

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this.

I just built a new system, last night I booted it up fine, but when I came home it was off. Now when I start it up, it loads for maybe 15 or so seconds, then shuts off. Then starts up for maybe 2 seconds, then shuts off, and keeps doing that.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?
corsair hx1000 modular psu, i7 920, asus p6t deluxe v2, 6 gigs ocz platinum pc 1600, 3870.

wrong section unless this started happening after installing your 3870.. but id say try resetting the bios first.. by either using the cmos jumpers or unplugging the psu and pulling the cmos battery for 30 seconds.. then see if it fixes the problem.. if not.. try running a different psu if you have one laying around..
