system in sig. the 120gb extreme II is causing my problems the last few days. 8.1 will take days to boot, or it will launch startup repair, "scanning and repairing" the drive every reboot. sometimes it completes, sometimes it hangs. sometimes the drive is normal and accessible, sometimes its visible and active in disk management but empty when opened. if i try to format it windows says the drive is inaccessible. ive already swapped out the sata cable and tried other ports. the system boots without the extreme II conncted, those still slightly slower/shows the loading ani for a bit. I thought it was MBR funkiness originally but the cmd commands to fix it havent made a difference
 
i think its crap cables. the 240 now wont boot when connected through the replacement. dont buy link depot cables :mad:
