your hard drive won't boot into windows becasue it has XP on it... and you switched motherboards and hardware and all that out from under it... you can't do that... XP makes a unique id number based on the hardware and your registration key.. this basically keeps people from copying registered copies of XP onto a bunch of hard drives and sticking them into computers.. therefore bypassing that "activation" process..
