I just bought a 580watt modular power supply from HIPER...after installing it, I tried turning on the machine for the first time. A loud BUZZZ and a burnt smell..apparently a screw had fallen behind the mobo, a8n-32sli from asus...I shook the screw out and kicked myself in the arse for being so careless...at any rate..the machine is dead..the green light on the mobo itself no longer is lit..however the HIPER light is lit....what do I need to replace? Mobo? Processor? Both? Power Supply? Typically what is the weakest link? I don't mind buying new parts as long as I know which part to buy.
