Help setting up multi source bluetooth headphons

Hey guys,

I've now wasted a couple hours trying to figure out how to get a mac, gaming pc and an iphone set up as sources for an over the ear headphone.

Anyone know of a bluetooth transmitter that can hardwire to a TV (mac monitor, the or the mac itself) and a windows gaming PC along with the bluetooth on my iphone?

I've found lots of ways to do it with one source and my iphone but once I get to the two computers or windows pc and TV, I start to run into no solutions.

Anyone have any advice? I don't even care what it costs anymore, just want to figure out how to do it. Sacrificing audio quality is also OK at this point.

tl:dr One wireless headphone, with a mic, preferably over the year that will connect to two computers (or one computer and a TV) and an iphone.

OK, so I decided to give this a try the hard way...

Sony ZX770BN don't work.
Bowers & Wilkins P5s don't work.
B&O H8's don't work (but damn do they sound great).
EDIT: Need to add Beats Studios to the list, we tried that inside the Apple store.

No clue what I'll try next, guess it's time to look towards commercial office products for phone center type things.

This just can't be that weird a thing to want can it? Wouldn't one set of wireless cans for all the shit on your desk or living room be a desirable thing?
 
It sounds like you need a receiver to handle the various sources, then you can connect wireless headphones to the receiver. You can hardware your PC and TV, and use AirPlay for the two Apple devices.
 
I agree, but nothing searched for like that works in that way. Receivers with bluetooth are for accepting the signal and sending it to an output device. Opposite of what I'm looking for and RF headphone setups seem to be made for sending one signal to several headphones...

Just seems odd someone that works with multiple devices hasn't run into this yet or my google fu is awful.

Many wireless headphones have a base that connects to multiple source types, often with just a simple headphone plug + RCA connections. Your problem is you are looking for Bluetooth headphones that wouldn't come with a base.

No mics and cell phone connection though right?

Edit: I guess I could use the Mac to answer the phone but would still need a mic since I use the TV for the monitor just due to desk space.
