hey so i got my 1st set of monitors (m-audio bx5a deluxe) and im having a problem getting them set up right. so 1st of all i have them connected to my sound card direct with a TRS cable (ring on the right/pin on the left). when i turn them both on my right one works normal and gets loud the higher i turn the volume but the left one is so soft that i have to turn it up max to get any kinda sound out of it and its not much. i thought that i was controlling the volume of both with the right nob but when i went into settings and would turn down the right the left one would still be lower. i also switched ring to left and pin to right just to check if it was the speaker but i get the same thing just the opposite with the left being louder then the right. i am hoping that i'm just a huge noob and the problem can be easily fixed. if you can help me please do, i would appreciate it. thanks!

Could you post some links to what you are using to connect the speakers to your soundcard? I'd probably try using something like this:

One of these hooked up to your soundcard.

Then two of these, with each one connected to each speaker and then connected to the previously listed y cable. Connect the right side speaker to the red plug on the Y cable.

You might be able to find those cheaper and/or with free shipping if you do some web searching with the part numbers.
