I am looking for a MB to keep an i7 4790k suspended in my computer case.
*My main concerns are stability, SLI compatibility, and sound quality.
*I am looking to spend somewhere between $100-$150, as there seems to be plenty of options in this price range.
*All other things being equal, I would prefer a micro ATX board.
*OCing performance is nice, but not a priority.
My main issue is that it isn't very clear to me what distinguishes many of these models from each other in any significant way.
The boards that have caught my eye thus far are
ASRock Z97 Extreme4 (ATX)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula (uATX)
GIGABYTE Z97MX-Gaming 5 (uATX)
and I feel like I have zero confidence in telling which one is properly better than any of the others, or if there are other boards I should be looking at.
