Alright, before I o/c, I want to make sure that my system is running as good/fast as it could be right now. I've taken some screen shots. If you want me to test anything else with any other utility, just ask and I'll post screenshots. I'm looking for someone to make sure I've got my ram in the right slots (channel) and things of that nature. Thanks!

The reason I ask is because things have always seemed slow on this system. It runs about as fast as my Dell Deminsion did with 1gb of ram... Any thoughts?

well from your sig it looks like you have a e6600 but in the one of the screen shot of CPUz your fsb is 266 x 6 which is 1.6ghz. you might want to fix that. you are underclocked and under volted. 1.128 instead of 1.325 but i don;t think that;s your fault. so that;s why it might be a little slow. and that might also be why your temps are so low. i would go into your bios and set it completely to default and see if it changes it.

i don;t know if this is the problem you were talking about. but that;s all i can see...your ram seems fine.

what mobo do you have?

Isn't this due to the motherboard lowing the speed of the CPU when it's idling?

Its underclocked and undervolted in the screenshot because the CPU was idle when the screenshot was taken. This is due to Intel's SpeedStep technology. Google for EIST if you want more info on it. You shouldn't notice the effect of EIST on a desktop computer. What things seem slow? elaborate more on why you think the system is slow. Also, what are the other specs of your system? HDD, etc?

Does this mean something is wrong and my voltage and speed shouldn't drop?

It gets slow when multitasking. I'm not doing any extensive gaming, mostly just running a variety of applications (ex. browser, ftp client, compiler, winamp, my computer, dvd burning software, bit torrent, office apps, etc). As far as other specs.
Motherboard - Asus P5B-E
Hard Drive - 200 IDE GB Maxtor (pretty standard, don't know other specs on it)
That's about it, I have a heatsink that I plan on adding soon, but not until it's ready to be overclocked. I also have a 200GB identical maxtor that I plan on adding as well as a 500GB Maxtor SATA HDD. Thanks a lot for your help guys! Please keep the feedback coming, it's very helpful!

WTFBBQ?!

Anyone notice that flame next to AUX - 119C ?

That's not even possible.
Bad sensor, or am I just simply awake too early in the morning?

speed fan will do that. it said my components were all running in the 1000c range when i installed it.

I noticed it, but wasn't too worried. I installed everything just as it came and haven't messed with it any further...
