Help! Safe temps on Asus X1900XT?

I have an Asus X1900XT 512MB card I picked up off the [H] boards, and I haven't owned an ATI card in like 3.5 years.

The question is about the temps.. I am using the card to fold 24/7 in my file server (added the card since the CPU was a slouch) and I am running ATI Tool 0.27 beta w/ the fan control @ 80% and I am getting load temps (running the F@H GPU client) around 73-75c

Is this a safe temp range to run 24/7? And what is the highest acceptable temp to run 24/7? I could always add an after market Zalman or something..

what game? my 8800GTS loads at 69C-74C playing oblivion at 80%. what are your ambient temps? those temps seem fine to me at full load. what are your idel temps? and try using rivatuner and ati tool.

Idle 60-62c - Load 73-75c
No overclock at this time, stock speeds.

No gaming on this card. I am using it exclusively to Fold@Home 24/7.

This is the reason for concern on the temperatures.. this card isn't going to get a break, ever. I am pushing it full load 24/7-365. Don't want to decrease the life anymore than I have to.

I appreciate the information, but that is an Nvidia card, I am wanting to know safe temps on an ATI card. I don't see how this is relevant?

Those temps are fine. My card runs about 74-76c max in a game.

Had mine up to 100°C before it crashed - it was running at 80-90°C for a while before that (forgot to plug the main case fan back in after cleaning, duh)

i was just showing u a comparison.
but if your worried about the temps u can always crank up the fan to 80%. that should lower it to idel at 55 and load around 66.
your card should be fine.

Depending on the temperature of the room, the temps would go up or down based on on ambient temps. Point is, my X1950 runs to about 80-85C on a hot summer day with my windows open.
