So i had my pc running dual boot with GRUB to run WinXP Pro and Ubuntu, i deleted the ubuntu partition and added it to the WinXP partition with partition magic and when i tried booting windows i got some error so i reinstalled reinstalled windows. ive heard that windows formatting doesnt completely erase data so i was wondering if i could get some data back.. especially the My Documents folder.

Tnx excuse my bad english

I used a program called recover my files that fully recovered a drive that got formatted. It kept the folder structure and file names also. Check it out you can see what it will recover before you buy. http://www.recovermyfiles.com/
