Title says it. Seems the top contenders are Samsung 830 vs Crucial M4. I need some help choosing. Replacing the microcenter 64GB SATA II ssd I have now.

I7 2600k Asus p8p67 pro
 
Its a personal preference.... Samsung 830 seems to perform slightly faster than then Crucial M4, but i doubt anyone can tell the difference, but the Crucial M4 is much cheaper, i seen it around $300 this past week, which is $80 less than 830. I have no bad experiences with my 2x crucial m4 (64gb and 256gb), so i would save the $$$, but its up to you.
 
I like the Samsung, but either is a fine choice. Plextor has 5 year warranties on their M3 and M3P, and they are faster. But as I said, I like the 830.
 
The 256GB m4 actually loses out to the 128GB flavor in a few read benchmarks, due to it having a bigger page size (8k vs.4k), so I would go with the Samsung 830 or Plextor M3/M3 Pro. The 830 is only $300-$310 at Newegg and Amazon, and it's definitely what I'd pick up if I needed a 256GB SSD.
 
Ahhh forgot to mention 830 is $299 ATM and M4 is possible about $40 cheaper with a coupon at staples. Then add tax for both.

Thanks. Reading that link I was considering the corsair perf pro but I jumped on that amazon deal. Samsung 830. I like Samsung I use their DVD rw and 1tb hdd f3, satisfied with all.
 
You won't regret it. After purchasing my first Samsung phone (E4GT), which is beautiful, I'm a little upset that everything I own isn't Samsung lol. I've been tempted to sell my M3 and pick up an 830, but I don't think it would be worth it in the end. Post back with some AS SSD and other benchmarks when you get it :)
