Letter to Enermax:
so i have no clue if i should use my new enermax or try to get it rma'd or buy a new one?
would my psu be the problem?
btw digilink tested it with new ddr sticks and pci e vid card
The letter to Evga:
Hello,
Last November I purchased the 133-K8-NF41 motherboard with the 7800 GT gfx card. Last Monday (4/10/06) during the day and night the computer worked great. On Monday afternoon when i went to start my computer up again it would turn on, but I would have no video on my screen at all (and yes i did check if the cable was plugged in!) I have been building computers for a while now and I know what I am doing. I unplugged the computer and opened the case to determine what was wrong. When I turned on the computer the LED POST display gave me a C1 error which said in the manual it was a RAM error so I tested each stick of memory in each slot to see if they would work, but both sticks kept giving me the same error. I thought that maybe my power supply fried and grabbed my spare PSU and plugged everything in (I have not forgotten about the extra 4-pin 12V connector either) and I still recieved the same error. Out of ideas i took it to Digilink (a local computer store) where they tested it to see what was wrong in the system and they told me somehow the motherboard fried. My question is... Is this covered by the warrenty and could I get my motherboard replaced by any chance???
Letter to Enermax:
Hello
Last november i purchased the 133-K8-NF41 motherboard. Last Monday (4/10/06)
during the day my computer worked great. On Monday afternoon I recieved the
Liberty 500W from your company that I ordered off Newegg. I excitedly installed
it and connected EVERYTHING, but when I went to start my computer up again it
would turn on! I had no video on my screen at all (and yes i did check if the
cable was plugged in!) I have been building computers for a while now and I
know what I am doing. So I unplugged it and opened the case to determine what
was wrong. When I turned on the computer the LED POST display gave me a C1
error which said in the motherboard manual it was a RAM error so I tested each
stick of memory in each slot to see if they would work, but both sticks kept
giving me the same error. I had the same trouble with my old psu. Out of ideas
i took it to Digilink (a local computer store) where they tested it t o see what
was wrong in the system and they told me somehow the
motherboard fried. They though maybe a power surge from the psu. I have
contacted EVGA and they are replacing the motherboard.
Ok sorry for the long story, but my question is could something be wrong with
the psu and if not would it be safe to install it to my replacement
motherboard??
Thanks for your time!
