Help - problem with downloading

I haven't been folding since May (My room didn't need the added heat during the summer)

But I think its about time to start again (I can now use the added heat!)

I downloaded the 5.04 client - but it won't properly download a core. I keep getting:

Could it be that I'm running XP64?

Try stopping service. Delete evertything but console5.04 and config file then start up again

Still nothing.
Network works fine for everything else.

Could it have something to do with the FahCore_78.exe being different from Core_78.fah?

It was set to 1 - I thought that it might fix it. Hasn't changed anything (I'll change it back)

Yes, I am using notepad

I'm not sure what its for either. This is the config file that the install spit out - I only changed the machine ID, thinking that maybe the servers had remembered the IDs I had for my original 4 boxes, and that somehow it screwed it up.

Editing in notepap can screw things up (can't image is here..)

Try deleting everything put the console.exe. Start>run> console.exe -config and pop back in all the info you need.

Generally kicking the client (just redoing) fixes almost any issue.

Why it's downloading the core but saying is invalid core is kinda odd....

From past experience, people have had problems editing the config files using notepad. The only reliable way to edit your config is to do it using the -configonly switch instead.

I thought that I originally ran the program without editing the config file - I guess not.

Deleting everything and re-running the config did the trick.

This is happening on both my mediacenter PC and my main computer. My testing machine will be done with a WU soon - I hope that doesn't have a problem too.

I've deleted everything in the folder and reconfigured it - but still doesn't work.

Could one of you guys maybe send me the core? The other computer with this problem is trying to get the same core (82)
