Hi, at this moment I am quite frustrated..I installed my new watercooling yesterday and the computer booted up just fine. All was well until I went to play a game...it was artifacting like mad and barely playable...then i smelled some burning smell and my computer turned off. I have no idea what the burning smell was or why the computer turned off. Today I turned it on and i have a dfi sli dr and the dfi lanparty screen even has artifacts int it aswell as trying to get into windows. Anyone idea what could have happened? everything seems right and im using nonconductive pc ice so ne thoughts?

I don't know a whole lot about watercooling, but if your CPU was fine, it seems like your GPU might have overheated, especially since you said it happened during a game and there was artifacting. Id check the connection between your water block and the video card.

did you notice any leaking anywhere?? are you watercooling your gpu? if so, make sure the gpu block is seated properly on the card. sorry to hear that. I hope you find the problem.

i just tried a different graphics card in it and it worked fine...so its my 7800gtx..ugh...there was some liquid on it but the bottle says its nonconductive..so i reseated my block on my gpu and its doing the same thing...ne ideas? i dont feel like spending another 400 on a graphics card :(

and by the way i check the card right before my comp turned off at it was a cool 35 degrees

dang, not sure what to tell you man. You might be out of luck. you can try to clean the area where you saw some liquid, with some alcohol. But if you smelled something burning, then you probably burnt something on your card. good luck

is this returnable? because if the liquid is non conductive then it couldnt hav ebeen that

maybe, did u buy it locally or online? Might be able to return it locally, or exchange for another one
