So I need some quick help here, I'm trying to figure out how to display whats on my laptop screen on to my tv. I'm using a digital out to 3 RCA, but I don't want to use my tv as an extended desktop, I want to have the same thing appear on my tv as on my laptop, any ideas? Thanks.

I’m afraid we are going to need just a bit more information then what you have supplied.

Digital out to three RCA from a laptop? I don’t think so.

More info and I’ll try to help..ok?

Well, the guys gone now, but no matter, it's a toshiba laptop, don't remember which, and he had monster cable that went from a single cable (in the back of the laptop) to 3 RCA cables, the red, white, and yellow. But the only thing he can do is an extended desktop with a tv. He wants to put like movies on the tv off his laptop but not as an extended laptop... get it?

Ok, that was probably VGA to RCA. That is an RGB setup to get VGA into the componant imputs of the TV. It works, but as you saw, not well. As a rule TVs don't make good computer montiors. If the laptop has an "S" vid out, you can display movies that way, but you have to go into your advanced video settings to set it up properly..and the truth is you will still probably be dissapointed.

Luck
