help please

I am using a really old and fairly crappy monitor at the moment mine broke a while back and i really cant decide if i want to go for an ips monitor or 120hz monitor.
the pc is really only used for gaming (one monitor used for gaming while the 2nd one is used for movies or surfing the net) i told myself wait a few months back something new is coming around the corner and might as well get the newest thing but not much has come out should i still wait or get something and what is your recommendation ips like one of the dell or the apple dispay or 120hz

CES just happened last week, with it a whole bunch of new monitors were announced, I would wait.

The only good gaming IPS panel, the Dell U2311H has terrible quality control and there's a new batch of 120hz and IPS panels around the corner.

TFT Central has posted most of the new monitor announcements.

Yeah... but if you get a good U2311H it would definitely be worth it.. and if you don't you can always exchange it. It's a bit troublesome, but they are still good monitors.
