New problem every day it seems.

I have been trying to run a benchmark test on my new rig, and it keeps locking up my system. I started with prime95, and it worked fine the first time through. I then overclocked the processor a little bit, tried the test again and about 3 mins in the system locked up. I restarted and everything seemed to be working fine. I have been playing crysis quite a bit and have had no issues...other than my gpus heating up a bit. So i have tried prime95 and the nvidia stability test several times and everytime it locks up...screen freezes, mouse and keyboard totally unresponsive. Today after I had left my system alone for a while, I came back and my pointer was stuck just like during the benchmark test. How can I find out whats causing this problem? Thanks

Try creating a memtest86 bootable CD and running that for a while. If it fails, then there is likely a problem with your memory.

You should also check that the voltage is set to the correct value for your CPU and memory in BIOS.

Agree with dhc, it sounds like a memory issue. Rum memtest86 and see what it's results are. Another option too is to pull 1 stick and run prime95 again and see if it locks, if it does, swap the sticks and run it again.
