i know i posted this in the amd motherboards forum, but nothing was happening.
sorry if im being impatient, but id really like to know.

what kind of processor is this?

Not sure which model it is, but it's one of the earliest Athlon processors released, for 'Slot A' motherboards.

its either a 600 or 700 mhz processor.
hmmmm....
i might have to make a file server.
i got a soundblaster ISA card and a 2mb ati rage 3d II pci graphics card to go with that as well.
 
this is ot, but do you have a filthy sanchez? be careful, you can get a bad septic infection from that.
 
It comes as a whole HSF with cpu on a PCB , like a graphic card
 
Definitely a socket A athlon.

Look for some markings on it and google them? Or, go ahead and boot it up and CPUz it!

It says AMD Athlon right on the thing.

It's a Slot A. Could be between 500-800mhz.

cpu-z to i.d. as above.

Unless you have to comptia A+ for your job don't bother. It's a silly little test that takes a knowledgeable, in-practice person about 10 minutes to write.

its really dusty, i know.
im making an acrylic stand for the obo, and im just gonna have an open system, since i dont care much for it.
i dont really have any good use for it though.
