Help please.

I today recieved my ViewSonic VX2025WM monitor. for the most part i love it. But i cant seem to get it to work on the provided DVI cable. Everytime i try to switch it from VGA to DVI it will sit there with a black screen the it will say "No signal" then go into standby. Or i will switch it over and it switches right back to vga a second later. Any thoughts on how to fix it?.

Make sure your DVI output on the videocard is activated and check the cable on another monitor to make sure it works.

Ok I just got it fixed. turns out my brother forgot to uninstall the old samsung drivers.
