Help please: New Motherboard and Processor, won't boot.

Hello Everyone,
I purchased the following New Items:

Asus Motherboard: M5A78L-M/USB3 Version 1

Processor: AMD FX 6300

I've come to the conclusing that the Motherboard's Bios has to be upgraded, for the Processor to work.

Am I correct?

If I am, which processor should I purchase so I can upgrade the Bios on this Asus Motherboard: M5A78L-M/USB3
