I want to remake or completely build a system. What troubles me is I have to build a system in the middle of old gen and next gen componets. this is a my system right now
epox 8k3ae (via kt333)
amd athlon xp 2400+
thermaltake volcano 7+
geforce 4 TI 4200 64 meg version
soundblaster mp3+
512 megs corsair XMS PC3200
2 western digital 80 GB hard drives (one is a SE the other is a 5400 rpm 512 cache {i think})
1 western digital 40 GB hard drive
1 seagate 200 GB 7200 8 meg hard drive
I was thinking about upgradeing to a abit nf7-s and HIS iceQ 9800 pro. but then I was thinking about getting a AMD athlon 64 3000 and a nforce3 motherboard. then buy a video card later. Then I was think I could just buy a X800 pro or XT and keep my current settings. I wanted to upgrade my motherboard because the epox 8k3ae doesn't have a agp/pci lock on it so overclocking is a problem. I know the nforce2 motherboards do. You all opinoins on the matter will be great taking into concidaration or whatever. my money is small but my gaming pride is big LOL :-D
