I currently own a microsoft digital media pro and a logitech mx518. I want a keyboard with calculator, programmable buttons, volume keys, and number pad like my current keyboard. Mouse looking for something a bit more comfortable with a few more buttons for easier multitasking.

Literally a calculator? Number pad isn't enough?

All I could find were standalone number pads with calculator function built in.

hehe not a literal calculator ! I meant a button that will open windows calculator. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Digital-Media-Pro-Keyboard/dp/B0002CPBUK This is the exact keyboard I Have & want something similar (as far as the key layout).
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-ultimate Not sure if this is a good keyboard but I went into best buy to test out some keyboards & love the way these keys feel but I really do not like green. I also want to be able to dim the illuminated lighting bc my current KB has no lighting (Ive memorized all the keys). My current keyboard is dying slowly & whenever I use the the volume buttons or any of the buttons that open programs in windows there is a delay that is really annoying..

logitech mx518- current mouse the left button is going to crap & I want something comfortable that fits my hands & also has several buttons for multitasking.

K70 RGB, you can map the media keys to anything you want. Mouse look at Logitechs current mouse offerings and pick one you think looks good. Nothing is going to be the same as the 518.

How does the K70 compare to the razor one I mentioned as far as the keys feel? I wasnt really looking to spend almost that much money. 100-120range
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114039 Came across this one it seems you can change the colors but Im not 100% plus it comes with the Free Razer Naga 2014 MMO gaming mouse? Best deal or not?

im not sure how the k70 is but from my thread people have been saying that the razer black widow is poorly built and doesnt hold up long. i see around that corsair keyboards are pretty good, and one of the most liked brands for keyboards

Nothing, the RGB is the new thing but it is just related to the multi-colored lights on all keys. If you are looking at mechanical keyboards but aren't interested in the lights and frills take a peek at the Das 4 which is pure quality with less frills. And make sure you know which key type to get also. I have MX reds that I love for everything but typing, blues are great to type on but so loud, browns are a good in between, blacks are quieter but take more force to press. Razer's have notorious build quality issues, I would stay away.

ahh Im glad you mentioned what each key type is for.. I need a keyboard that can be used for everything...I also would like a keyboard that has many programmable keys for opening up programs & also volume buttons & sleep. As in the post above something very similar to my current keyboard but better quality key switches. I honestly dont want to spend as much as those Das cost my current keyboard has been fine and was cheap.
Im thinking I need browns? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823816020 Looks like its missing the programmable keys, sleep button ect that I currently own...
Few others I came across: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/logitech-keyboard-920003887

The 710 is probably what you need. Browns are a great all around switch and it has all those extra keys.

Is there anything better? I went to bestbuy and tried it out but the buttons dont feel as good as the razor...I wish the corsair had more programmable buttons

Is MX reds though

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/rgb-gaming-keyboard-g910
Comes out in november and has a new switch that is said to be similar to MX browns

The Logitech G710 is MX blues, the G710+ is MX browns with o-rings under them.

The pro you can get in browns pretty sure the regular ryos MK is blacks.

I think you can get these in browns

Which do you think is best for my needs and quality wise?
Ok just got back from bestbuy and tried the logitech out. Both the blackwidow and logitech were next to each other. For some reason the logitech felt just like my current keyboard & it didnt feel as cool as the black widow....?

I have a Logitech G710+
it's real nice, with the extra 6 macro keys to the left, that you can bind anything you want to them.

It is nice A49 but the buttons just dont feel mechanical like the razor...Is there anything with a better feel?

Depends the blackwindow uses Kailh switches not Cherry(they are just Cherry clones internally they tend to feel a little stiffer at actuation and they use a shorter distance to actuation) The blackwindow could have also been their equivalent to MX blues not browns. So you might want blues. Blues have a higher actuation force and click loudly.

The G710+ uses MX browns with black o-rings under them so you can't bottom out but you can still actuate the switch. Makes it quieter as bottoming out a mech keyboard if it's plate backed can leave a loud clank to the typing.

The Blackwindow comes in two types Green(MX blue), Orange(MX brown) they both comes with lower actuation distance(distance travel on key press till a click is registered).

Anyways so what you might want is MX blues. If that's so def avoid MX reds as that would be even softer than browns in terms of mechanical feel.

It could be you want a clicky(MX blue) instead of tactile(MX brown) or you want a stiffer switch. Stiffer switches would be MX green is a stiffer MX blue and MX clear is a stiffer MX brown.

Well something that "feels" mechanical but can be used for both typing/gaming & Has the programmable keys I need? The Logitech just didn't feel mechanical at all..it literally felt like my current microsoft keyboard which is much cheaper & has more programmable buttons...If im going to shell out 100 bux it better feel mechanical & be a lot better than my current cheap keyboard..

Semantics? So blues are still great for typing & gaming. What would be best then that has programmable keys, sleep etc buttons

You can make your own hotkeys, that's how people that use 60% keyboards keep full keyboard functionality. Looking for mechanical keyboards that have marcokeys can really limit you options, so you should consider just making your hot keys. I've seen people disable the caps lock key and basically make that a function key. Or you could do that with your right or left windows key.

ehh not sure I want to do that. Would rather a keyboard with the prgrammable keys on it. I like having several things binding to keys for quick access. Any links to such?
