Help pick out a new TV please!

Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT50 50-Inch 1080p 600Hz Full HD 3D Plasma TV

I choose to go with Plasma because of the price and I see no real benefit of LED, It also seems to have good reviews.

1) Please tell me the pros/cons of LED VS Plasma
2) Recommend another brand? Is Panasonic a good brand?
3) TV performs well with gaming?

As far as plasma Panasonic is a good brand. If you want so save some money you could go with the ST50 which is essentially the same TV without THX certification. Only other brand I would consider for a plasma is Samsung.

The TV has a game mode which should address any input lag.

As far as LED they're typically brighter and look better in brighter environments. Also LEDs use alot less power then plasma. If you want the best picture plasma is the way to go.

panasonic plasma tv are in the top echelon
you wont have any issues with gaming. i use a panasonic plasma for my ps3 and have no complaints

Yeah that's pretty much as good as it gets at that price. Only the VT series would be better.

Yeah thats a good idea to drop down to the ST50...you only lose:

24, 576 Shades of Gradation (WTF is this?)
THX3D Certified
& Face Detection

I was looking @ Samsung, however, they seem to get horrible reviews (PN51E8000)
