Help Overclocking my AMD X2 and RAM

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ with an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe and 4 x 1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 Memory. My h/s is an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64...

What's the highest stable overclock I can achieve? What settings would I need to set in the BIOS? Also what settings should I set my ram to that will allow for high speeds? Right now my RAM is set to 4-4-4-12 2T

well first off.. since the 4200+ isnt a black edition processor.. you cant run 4-4-4-12 timing on the ram.. but since it is ram that runs at 4-4-4-12 then its a good possibility you can hit ddr2 1000+ speeds..

as for how well the 4200+ overclocks.. your best option is to look up "amd x2 4200+ reviews" then go to the overclocking section of the review.. find what numbers they got.. try to find multiple sites.. then find the middle point of all those overclocks.. and try for that.. slowly work your way up to the overclock you want.. just make sure you set the ram to 5-5-5-18 see how far you can push the ram at its default multiplier.. once it starts failing drop the multiplier on the ram and keep pushing the overclock til the cpu wont go any further..

also you will have to mess with the voltages and drop the HT muliplier.. for a starting point set it to 3x so that its not a variable in the overclocking..
