Help on Pump.. how much GPH & max head?

Im going to start watercooling mainly because i OC and i want a quiet system, been OCing on air for a while, and i get good results...but with a lot of noice.

I plan to cool CPU, GPU, Chipset + Hard Drives with the WC setup.

My main concern is the Pump, ill use a heatercore (or 2) as my radiators with a couple of 120mm fans:

In case of 2 radiators (heatercores)

(Pump --> CPU --> Chipset --> Radiator2 --> GPU --> Hard Drives --> Radiator1 --> Reservoir --> Back to pump.)


So, what kind of GPH and max head will i be needing for this?

Im looking at a Via Aqua 3600 rated at 1057gph at 0 head and with a Max head 11ft.

What do you guys recommend?
 
I use the ehiem 1250 and i think it has the same head heigth. I dont really go for GPH because i dont think it would make a big diff. And adding a seccond radiator I dont think would really do much of anything other than cause more pressure on the pump. If you want you can always go with a dual long radiator (2 x 120mm fans). But thats all my opinion :)
 
Hi there, i added an "diagram" on how i think the dual heatercore/radiator setup might help on getting temps down.

Because after water goes to the CPU and chipset is cooled again by rad2 before going to the GPU and hard drive and then it goes to rad1 that cools it before its continues to Reservoir and back to the cycle.
 
Its better to have everything go through 1 big radiator rather than 2 small ones if you can.

I personally had my CPU, north bridge, and GPU all cooled in one loop that then ran through a dual 120mm fan radiator (it was a transmission radiator actually, pretty nice one to but now I can't find it online anymore) and tested it out with only my CPU before adding everything else to it. The GPU and north bridge together only made temps go up a few degrees even after overclocking and overvolting both of them, so I don't think it'll be a very big deal in your case, if anythig adding a 2nd radiator will probably just cause more flow restriction.
 
Hi and thanks to the people who have replied so far, it seems to be a consensus that adding a second heatercore would only add restriction problems for the pump without any substancial gain.

What about GPH and Max head of the pump? I dont want to over do it with ~1000GPH when it could be done with 100GPH (exagerated example ;) ) . It would add more wattage to the already big power consuming computer and more $$ to the electric bill without any gains.

Also, while on the subject, recomendations of waterblocks for CPU, GPU, chipset and hard drive for the system in sig are very welcome, ofcourse trying to maintain a good price/performance ratio... dont want a solid gold waterblock that performs 5C lower than the cheaper copper one but costs $1000 more (again exagerated example :p ).

Im aiming for a "1/2 setup but also open to recomendations.
 
Eheim 1250 pump or equivalent is more than enough, power use for pretty much any pump in this range will be minimal BTW so don't worry about power.

As for blocks (or kits), pretty much anything new from DangerDen, Swiftech, or D-Tek will perform great, be reliable, and not cost you an arm or a leg.

Innovatek is another good water cooling brand but they tend to be much more expensive and have blocks that use muuuch smaller ID tubing (they still perform great though so don't count them out).
