Ok, I just put together this pc with a gigabyte P55A-UD3. Everything looks ok in bios. Upon boot and after POST, i get a "loading operating system" message and it stays there until I reboot the pc. Everthing is brand new. I had successfully installed windows 7. This started after I turned off the pc and turned it back on. Any ideas?

Boot sector or something similar might have become corrupt.

You can try doing a repair with the windows installation disk. Go to the command line and run fixboot fix mbf (or something like that) as well as a few other commands (google will turn up several suggestions on the first page) and so on.

However, unless you've installed a bunch of software already, I'd try reinstalling. If the first suggestion or 2 works, then trying to fix it is the fastest route. But if it doesn't work, then you're going down a long dark hole....installation requires so little user interaction, I'd just reinstall.
