Help on improving pic quality

Put together experimental PVR to get feet wet in DIY PVR with lot of effort and got GB-PVR working on this:

P-M 740 1.73GHz, 1GB dual channel P4P800-VM, CT-479 adapter,
440 MX 64MB, Sapphire Threatrix 550 (Theater 550 Pro).

Played rather well on this and most best with nvidia's decoder. But there is room for improvements, Comments please?

Second, is there a support for closed caption?

Third, I noticed any fast motion items breaks up into horizontal lines then reforms back to normal when motions slow enough or stops. Is there a way to stop that?
