Hey Everyone,

Yesterday I got home and my computer started doing a weird thing.

When Windows starts, Both Windows Live Messenager and Skype Crash

and i am unable to access any Internet locations (Firefox doesnt even say page cannot be loaded)

I did a few Ping tests and I can ping Internet pages (like Google)

I have access to all network computers and those computers have access to the Internet

Please help with this, I really dont feel like reinstalling Windows

thanks

first thing that comes to mind is spyware/viruses

2nd would be memory/hard drive

UPDATE on Issue

Just in case anyone else gets this problem, Ive figured out what causes it, and sort of how to fix it.

Its caused when you try to repair the Network Adaptor and you have no internet at all (so say your router died) it gives you the option to removed a failed component and when this is removed the adaptor stops working

the only fix I have come up with is to restore windows from a restore point or reinstall :(

an interesting thing with this issue is any 64Bit Apps will connect to the Internet fine, only 32bit apps have the issue
