I have just upgraded my system by getting a Asus P4C800-E Delux MB, a P4 3.2 GHz Chip ,1GB DDR PC3200 400MHZ Geil Golden dragon memory, and a Hercules 9600 pro Graphics Board.

The problem I now have is that now when I try to play a game on my computer I get a ctd after a few seconds of play ,and sometimes it just freezes before even getting into the game.
Also when I try to install a game the install stops after only 50% to 75% of it is installed and it freezes at that point. If I resume the install it will install the rest of it.

Can someone please help me out as its driving me crazy.

If that RAM doesn't pass memtest86, try bumping up the Vdimm voltage. That Golden Dragon stuff loves (and sometimes doesn't work right without) higher voltages--don't be afraid to take it as high as 2.9v (If I remember correctly, GD RAM is rated up to 2.95v).

...and if it still doesn't work after that, I believe the RMA fairy may be paying you a visit... :D

There should be an option in your motherboard's BIOS somewhere that allows for various voltage adjustments. If you're using the Phoenix AwardBIOS, it should be in the 'Power BIOS Features' menu listed as 'DIMM voltage regulator' or something like that. However, if you're motherboard isn't using the AwardBIOS, it may be listed as simply 'Vdimm' or something similar. Usually all of the voltage control options are grouped together in a single BIOS menu--if you look around for a little bit, you're sure to find it.
