Hey guys,
Well I decided to upgrade my system and got some more ram, a new mb, and cpu. I cleaned out my pc, put everything together, and fired it up and it ran fine. I played a few games and then went to sleep. I have lights on my case and a temp monitor that I didn't hook up and left it until today. So I decided to move some wires to clean up the case so I took everything apart yet again and cleaned it up. Start it up and nothing from the video card, sounds like the HDD kicks in and stops(not positive) and the mb shows that there's a memory error. I tried rewiring, unplugging and replugging in, anything I could think of but nothing works. Here's my setup...
BIOSTAR TA790XE
AMD Athlon II Quad Core 3GHz with Scythe Katana 3
4GB RAM
GeForce 9600GT with Accelero S1
BFG 500W power supply

I could use any help. Thanks guys.

I think the first thing we need to know is the exact methodology of your troubleshooting. Start by taking everything off the board except CPU, video card and a single stick of memory (disconnect all drives as well) and try to get the system to boot. It also wouldn't hurt to pull the video card off the board and make sure there isn't any foreign material on the connectors of the video card or the PCI-E slot. Once you've verified they're good reseat the card and make sure its fully seated. The same with the first stick of memory, memory is a bit more difficult to push in all the way but once you hear it snap you should be good to go. If it doesnt boot then try a different stick of memory. If it still fails to boot but the system DOES power on then there is a good possibility its the video card. If I recall properly, even if a processor is bad, BIOS will still startup, can't recall though. Is there any beeps that occur? If so, check your motherboard manual for what the beep code means as that could also aid you in troubleshooting. Of course, there is also a possiblity that the motherboard has died or the cpu or the psu....its a bit difficult to diagnose at this point outside of replace and see.
