HELP!! Need controller for 14" IBM TFT LCD

What I have is a 14" IBM TFT LCD screen (P/N:47L7400) from a Dell Inspiron CPxH laptop.
I want to put this thing in my van, so I can connect a portable dvd player, x-box, ps2 etc. up to it.

The problem I am running into is that I cannot find a controller. The controller that is in the laptop, is staying in the laptop (cuz it's part of the mainboard). All I need is something to take an s-video or composite input and output it to the LCD, it can't be THAT [h]ard can it?

HELP!!!

P.S. For the person that can help me out the most, I may have another 14" screen that I could reward them, but only if one person is the "big helper".
 
Alright, first off lcd controllers are expensive. Your looking at $200+ and that is for something crappy. The reason being is that they don't make large quantities of them for pcs like they do for laptops. It would be cheaper just to buy a screen that has a built in controller. It has been discussed here & other places many times. Laptop screens are not worth using because the controller you need to use them cost as much as a new screen. Not to mention here in texas your car gets too hot for a panel from a laptop. Good chance you would melt it in your car since it can get over 140 degrees inside. Anyways, your best bet is to buy a screen that is made to be put in a car. They are more durable and they have a built in controller.
 
Thanks Cyber. That is exactly what I am finding out. I have actually found an NEC LCD PC thing that looks like a laptop mainboard with an LCD mounted on it that has a controller and audio controller built in. All I need to do is find the pinouts for the mainboard connector, which I believe should be some standard vga type pinouts.

I have changed my quest to be looking for info on the NEC NL10276AC30-04R, which is from an NEC PM2006 PC/LCD all-in-one thingy that is dead. The display has a controller already on it, and it also has the front panel adjustments and speakers.

I think it is going to work out much better than the plain laptop lcds.
