Occasionally when im doing anything on my computer my HDD will just die, you can hear the disks slowing down and stopping, and then about 5 seconds i have a frozen computer.
and when i try to boot up again, it usually takes about 7 times to get to the windows screen because it dies
could this be a bad PSU or a bad hard drive? both are only about a year old but only have been used for about 8 months. i also dont think its my PSU because its a 420 watt and even though its a no-name company, the only non-essential thing i have plugged in it a CCFL, which isnt ont he same line as it anyway.
should i go yoink the 20gigger out of my old gateway and put it in this rig as primary and mine as slave(which it is anyway)?
