Hi accidentaly bought the upgrade version of Office 2003 instead of the full retail. But on the box it says if I have a previous microsoft product, such as a"planned version of Works 8", then I can install the software. Does that just mean that this came out before works 8 and if i get that, then I will be able to use the MS Office 2003? It's cheaper to buy works then to send the upgrade software back and buy the other version.

You'll get better anwers in the Software forum, but here goes. If it mentioned Works 8 as a suitable platform for the upgrade, then it should work. It may even work like OSes, where during the install of Office 2003, it will prompt you for the Works CD, instead of making you actually install it first. Not sure, which is why I'd ask a mod to move this to the software forum for a better answer.
