Help me with nvidia surround

So I just bought 2 460gtx off here, its arriving in a week. I am planning on sli-ing them and do the 2d surround.

but here's the situation, I have a 37 monitor

and 2- 22dells

the sizes are significantly different, also max res is different, I was just wondering if it is possible to make it work with surround? and what suggestions you guys have to make it look nicer.

Refresh rates have to be set to a common value
Resolution has to be set to a common value, in your case, 1680x1050.
nVidia does require sync polarity to be the same (on the Dell it's the HSYNC / VSYNC - HP doesn't say).

Aslo, you are trying to use a TV as a center monitor. I'd say it would look like crap in that configuration as you'll have a center with a slower response rate and the TV will scale image (if it will even accept an input running a non-ATSC-HD resolution) to 1920x1080.

Not to mention the sheer size difference.

Yes, it can be done by setting refresh and resolution to the same (explained above), but having had some experience here, it will look like crap and be extremely annoying to use. You'll be using three screens at non-native resolutions and different refresh rates.

All things equal, I'd sell the 37" and get another matching Dell monitor.

Or ideally, hook the 37" up to something else for multimedia, and get the third monitor for gaming.

ok. yeah. thats what I was worried about , B/c when I drag window from 37 to 22, the window became much smaller, the ratio is going to be way off. thats probably gonna happen in game. so the 2-22 dells will look like rear view mirrors.. too bad no game support rear view mirrors. lol....

You wouldn't be able to actually enable Surround, but you can hook them up as Extended Desktops.
