I was talking to Eclipse about this subject and we came to the conclusion that the XP-120, XP-90C, and Zalman 9500 were pretty darn close with results, with the SI-120 lagging behind a bit. The XP-120 won't fit on my motherboard, so it's out of the question. Which would you guys suggest being I want the processor to at least reach 2.4ghz or greater. I don't mind the price, I just want what'll be best for cooling and pretty quiet (no more than 30-32dbA)

Any input would be appreciated :).

Zalman in my sig keeps me at 2.6ghz.....any o those other three you listed would work too. I prefer the larger fan/slower rpm method....less noise.

love my cooler master hyper 6+. At 2.3ghz, i'm actually around 41c full load, just haven't changed sig.

I was looking at the Ninja, the Hyper 6 and the G-Power, but on the "benches", it showed that both the 9500 and the SI-120 cooled better than they did.

On the big typhoon - Do you have one? How's the noise level? I'd like to keep it kind of low.

Any other suggestions before I go out and buy a cooler? I need to make the decision VERY soon. Is the cnps9500 enough to cool an OC'ed X2? I'd go for something such as the Big Typhoon, but I'm not sure about the weight is puts on the chip/mobo . . . last thing I needis for the chip to crack or the mobo to snap.

Please toss some more input this way :).

hyper 6 or hyper 6+? the hyper 6+ cools about as good as the big typhoon and the ninja is something that you should definitely consider ;)

I'm highly considering these tower units, however I'm worried about the weight. I REALLY don't want anything to snap/break.

Lower than the 9500.....less weight than the Zalman 7700cu....and quieter than both.....

Still a lot of weight.

I like the XP-120/SI-120 brothers.
