I won a shopping spree to purchase some new computer equipment. I am no longer into gaming on the computer and mainly play FPS on xbox.

My current monitor is a Westinghouse 37" that I use for the xbox and switch between my windows machine and macbook pro. I am more a mac guy now and spend most of my time on it.

At work I have dual monitors and love it. I have always wanted to have 3 monitors too.

Since I no longer game and like high resolution, am I better off getting 2 27" 2560x1440 or 3 22-24" 1080p monitors? The desk I currently have is the Ikea Jerker so space is somewhat limited.

For the 27" monitors I was looking at the Asus PB278Q or Benq XL2720T (would this be good for the xbox 360?)

What would you recommend for 22"-24" monitors if I decide to get 3?

The promotion is limited to products at D&H.

How much are you planning on spending on the displays, the whole $3k? For that amount you could almost get 3 30's.

A 30" monitor for 360 gaming? Seriously? 30" monitors are all wide gamut=inaccurate and over saturated colors for games. Sure that 3,000$ could be put towards an NEC PA30W or Eizo which have good sRGB modes, but it would be wasted since both have poor black levels, input lag as well as very grainy matte coatings.

Consoles are capped @60hz so a 120-144hz TN would be wasted. A 2560x1440 monitor would be ok.

The Viewsonic VP2770 is better than the Asus for FPS gaming since it has less ghosting and lower input lag and doesn't use LED PWM dimming causes some people to get eye strain and or headaches.

The Viewsonic is the most expensive 2560x1440 monitor aside from NEC/Lacie/Eizo monitors meant for color work, but they are all worse for gaming than models like the U2713HM, PB278Q and VP2770.

I really would like at least 2 monitors. I am guessing 2 30" monitors will not fit as my 37" currently takes up most of the desk. I would be putting them on a vesa desk mount.

save a little more and get the 32" UltraHD monitor from sharp :) (PN-K321)
mine is taking a super loooooooooooooooooooong fedex ride cross country now.. ugh
