I'm not even sure they exist, but I am in need of a single cable that goes from female 1/8 (1/4 would also work) to USB.
I've searched Google and www.musiciansfriend.com but have not found anything. I need something that is cheap because it is for work, and we would need to buy 14-20 of them.
Here is why i need it just in case any of you know of a better solution.
I am setting up our monitoring department at a small call center. We currently are recording our employee's using a little box that is setup in-between the Phone and the headphone amp. The box has your normal RJ11 connection for the phone, then splits the signal into a 1/8 cable that goes into the MIC port on the soundcard. Then has a RJ11 jack to route the phone signal to the headset.
The problem is that we are using computer that are messed up. Even if we can get a recording, the quality of it is extremely poor. I'm hoping to improve the audio quality, as well as circumvent the poor onboard soundcard.
Hope Ive made sense. I'm wide open for suggestions.
