Forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section

So my new rig is running smooth, how ever I have a small problem.

Whenever my computer falls asleep, it turns back on almost instantly to the desktop no problem half the time. The other half of the time I turn it on and it goes to turn on as if it was completely off. The screen turns on to the motherboard logo page, and then a black screen and nothing else. I have to unplug the power for about 15 seconds and then turn back on. So far that has fixed my issue and my computer starts no problem. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it :)

parts are

i7 3820
Asrock Extreme4 M (MATX board)
16GB Crucial Ballistix
EVGA 680 gtx
2x120GB Corsair Neutron GTX
Asus Xonar sts
Enermax Maxrevo 1350w

Temps are fine btw, whole system runs at around 40-45 idle in all sectors.
 
Try a different GPU
Remove the sound card
Try a different PSU
 
I have found the different sleep states to be a pain in the ass and a mystery in some ways because they always seem to behave differently depending on the hardware involved. I have run into a problem with 2 out of 3 recent builds. My suggestion is to read all you can about sleep, hibernate and hybrid sleep (here and here for a start) and then check the bios and try out different "S" states there in combination with the different settings in Windows.

Should be somewhere in your bios. Here is a description.

S0: Always on.
S1: All processor caches are flushed, and the CPU(s) stops executing instructions. Power to the CPU(s) and RAM is maintained; devices that do not indicate they must remain on may be powered down.
S2: CPU powered off. Dirty cache is flushed to RAM.
S3: Commonly referred to as Standby, Sleep, or Suspend to RAM. RAM remains powered
S4: Hibernation or Suspend to Disk. All content of main memory is saved to non-volatile memory such as a hard drive, and is powered down.

Edit: Ideally, since it is a desktop, you are probably going to want to use Hybrid Sleep. Google it and find a tutorial to help you set it up for Windows 7.

Edit 2: And like Danny said if you are still having problems, you are going to need to start the process of going through the hardware (I guess some graphics cards are notorious for creating sleep problems).
