i wanan upgrade my block here in the near future but cant decide what i want... i have a procore, an L30, and a swiftech gpu block on my 9800.. and i'll have a homemade res outta pvc pipe (unless that idea falls through then i'll use my little DD res).. i cant seem to decide if i should get a WW or a TDX.. i was leaning towards the WW but i dunno if with my gpu block if the restrictiveness will hurt its performance.. which do u guys think would work best for me?

also.. i've seen that cathar is around while trying to search for an answer to my question.. what kinda block does he have in the works? is it somethign comparable to the WW or more like the cascade (in terms of pricing) so maybe it'd be an option for me to wait for that.. cathar, ya mind giving me a quick description? :p

I think you should get a swiftech 6002 b/c it will outperform the TDX and WW at most flow rates. Compare at this link http://www.procooling.com/html/pro_testing.php
it is also relatively inexpensive

Cathars new block, the storm, will cost around 70-75 dollars (plus shipping) and in preliminary tests, it is outperforming the silver cascade. go to his thread on OCAU for more info.

The 6002 is a great choice if you can wait, how long nobody knows. Swiftech SUCKS

thanks for the info.. cooltechnica.com has the 6002's in stock.. maybe i should grab one before their gone

NO FSCKING WAY.

Oh OK you're not talking about the -P. I'm happy again :D :)

I personally would wait for the next cathar block

I invested in an original white water rapids from him several years ago, and it still outperforms many of the blocks on the market today.

and in a low-restriction setup coupled with a moderate-strong pump, it still is really only equalled by one or two other blocks.

Block is about mid-way through first batch production as we speak. Some details with pricing targets, and a limited FAQ available here:

http://www.employees.org/~slf/lrwb/

Final block will look pretty much like this. Block will come with a black anodised aluminium adaptor bracket, which is not in the picture (don't have one yet).
