I'm looking for an NVidia based video card that would support dual monitors. A 22" via a DVI port and a 50" Samsung LCD via an HDMI port. I would also like the HDMI port to be full functional (support audio as well) in vista 64 ultimate. The card would be mostly used for watch movies and light gaming.

    Any suggestions?

if you want an ATi video card, a 4670 will fit you perfectly (just released for sub- $80 range) and ati has the benefit of all the audio going thru HDMI port without re-routing an spdif connection from the motherboard.

Its not for me. Its for a friend.
He's used Dells for a while and every single time he has tried an ATi video card, without going into details, it has not worked out. Price range : $150usd or less.

HD4850 would work really well, ever HD4670 if you convince him to go with ATI. If not, really hard to say. Problem is that ATI cards are going to serve him better in that department; all eq. Nvidia cards would cost 200+.
