so I have my mATX system currently in a Antec 300 temporarily. I have yet to decide on a case that does all of what I want. I Would definitely prefer a cube style case since this will be in plain view on my desk (& its a big desk).

I have a MSI 890 gxm with a Phenom II x6 1055t cooled by a h50. Also needs to allow space for a pair of 5830 hawk's (I have one already). 1 5.25 drive (could go slim if needed) & a 3.5" internal bay (or someplace to mount my 2x SSD's)

Ideally the v351 will do whats needed, but I was hoping to find something with a little more flair. The v352 when released will probably work as well, but same drawback.

Is there anything else I should consider that will hold everything.

Edit: also a full size PSU is a must. I ahve a hx520 now & that will go to either a hx750 or hx850 before I get my 2nd gpu

V35x series, SG01-SG05, 'Da Box', Qmicra, MicroFly, Lanbox, all come to mind.

What do you mean by 'flair'? Lights? Windows?

V35xB is what I am leaning towards, SG01-SG06, only 2 of the 5 are mATX cube style cases & as far as I know both (sg01 & 02) would require major modification to hold an h50, Da Box is a possibility, Qmicra is even more blah then the V35x series & costs 3 times as much, MicroFly as far as I can tell also wouldn't hold an h50 which is the case for the thermaltake lanbox as well..

as for flair no I dont mean lights & windows, I just mean the general styling. I have had several Lian Li's & I am looking for something a little different.

I am sort of waiting on the PC-V352. I want to build a smaller PC and the PC-V35x cases are pretty cool in my opinion, and I'd like to get my hands on one of the newest ones.

Come tuesday i'll have a "Da Box" coming. But also heavilly considered the Lian-Li

Honestly at this point Da Box is the only other one that is still in the running. Its alot more expensive & has a couple other features I like & some I dont. Just appears to be designed choppy like (internal design doesn't seem all that clean). Also in the running for me is the NZXT Vulcan. I Absolutely hate the way it looks & its not even a cubeish case, but the interior design appears to be top notch. But it would end up under my desk if I Did..

anyone know if the Bgears BG01176 can hold a long video card. Seems to be a little older so I am not coming up with anything about modern cards.

I saw a review where someone got a 9800GTX+ in his which is a 10.5" card. I believe the HD5850 as well as the GTX470, GTX480s (and anything under that in the nVidia lineup) should all fit given that info.

so that fitting is all it took for me to bite. I know its a bit out dated of a case, but I just got it for 38 bucks shipped new off of zipzoomfly's ebay store. so at 1/3rd the cost of the nearest other possibility.

& now I am already regretting it.. Even though its got a 120mm fan I am having serious doubts about whether or not a h50 will fit. from this it appears like there is basically no room around that fan & the h50 requires a little bit of extra clearance top & bottom (although bottom I can probably move that bracket to make it fit).

or turn radiator sideways if that will work . this case should fit a h50 in back without to much troubles it has the room

I Sure hope so.. It should actually end up with plenty of extra room given the rest of the hardware. I will be dropping the removable drive all together & may pull the card reader as well. So I am sure I can make something work.

But as for flair.. The touch sensitive buttons on the case gives it that to me since they will match the ones I have on my razor lycosa keyboard.

I also think I may see about cutting in another 120 fan into the top or one of the sides to make sure I have the cooling since I will most likely have the 120 exhaust blowing in. it will make the air choppy as shit, but it should push most of it right out the PSU.

Edit: infact I just ordered this to hold my SSD's & I will put it in place of there built in unit. Then I can dump the hard drive rack on the side all together & That should give me room to mount a fan there for exhaust, or maybe the h50's intake & leave the fan at the back for exhaust.

well I jsut got the case & it looks like I am SOL on the h50.. it aint fitting without heavy modification. If it was just the size of the 120mm fan then fine, but since its a hair taller its not going to go. it would literally require cutting a fan hole into the side, Removing a brakcet & then custom making a mounting bracket for the h50. & its not worth all that.

SG03 is a very sweetly designed M-atx case, albeit it doesn't have a "cube" design.

But if cost is no problem, I say the Da-box-100. It seems to be the best thought out design.

I now have my system running in the B-Envi minus the h50. I really like this case so far other then the obvious. But I guess in the cases defence in order to have it accomidate an h50 it would have to of been a bit taller. The clearances are very very tight. In the area that the 120mm fan is there is maybe 1mm of extra space top to bottom & 2 or 3 mm side to side. And the interior supports seem to fit my 5830 hawk like a glove. That part is actually rather neat how tight the tolerances are all throughout the case. The only other thing that I have had to give up on is the thumb screws I usually use to hold in my video card as they were too tall for the slide out motherboard tray. So for now its off to newegg to find a new cooler & replace the stock fan with another that should make a little less noise.

Use a slim external DVD, which is what i do...............seriously the only time I use it is to install the OS. You can mount your SSD's in the stock hard drive caddy or just about anywhere else............SSD mounting is fairly simple since they're so small/light.

No external for me. I want it to be kept clean & pretty & extra hardware defeats that goal. & my SSD's are currently waiting for a dual 3.5" enclosure to arrive that will be here tomorrow & keep that side of the case open (its the side thats visible on my desk).

thats pretty crazy. I am trying to mod none of possible & very little at max. whats really weird is that I dont OC so I only bought the h50 because the stock cooler from my 1055t was LOUD. But in this case its dead silent. I Don't think it likes hanging on its side.
Its still getting replaced though with a Zalman CNPS 8700though unless I find something I like better.

well I replaced the fan that came in that case with an Antec & now I can hear the stock CPU cooler fan again. So thats definitely gotta go.
