I'm wanting to install a couple of 120 mm fans. Would prefer something quiet but doesn't necessarily have to be silent. I've researched a bit, but always seem to find conflicting reports.

Cost is definitely a concern, I really don't want to spend $20 per fan...but would go a few bucks more for something resonable for a better unit.

I see many posts recommending the Yate Loon but have also seen many posts saying they're noisy.

I don't need it to be the very best, just looking for good quality for a decent price.

If you are looking at the 20 and under fans (if these are for case fans) I would go with some 1200rpm or under Slipstream fans (so long as they are not mounted horizontally), they cost more, but are better than the YL fans. If you are willing to pay in the upper range of the 20 bucks a fan I would go with the GT fans.

Yates are great for the price, they just won't typically last as long as better/more expensive fans. Mine typically get noisy or die within a year. YMMV
I'm also partial to the Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans. Worth the price. Just be sure to price comparison shop if budget is a concern. I tend to use the Google Product Search thing these days.
