A64 2800 + Retail HSF
Antec true 380w
Corsair 2 x 256 pc3200 XL (2-2-2-5-1T @ 2.8v)
Abit nf8 nforce 3 ultra 250gb

Sadly the max ram voltage on this board is 2.8v :( . GG Abit. Anyway ive been having some troubles.

With HTT @ 245 and ram divider set to max 166 (i dont know why but abit nf8 doesnt have fraction dividers) I can reach 2.2 ghz with ram @ 200 mhz

With HTT @ 267 and ram divider set to max 133 i can reach 2.4 ghz, but then ram only runs @ 171 mhz

I tried leaving the cpu alone, and the max i can put my ram to is 209 mhz, giving me 1870 mhz , so about a 7-8 % performance increase total.

Does anyone have experience with this board, and am i extremely limited because i only have pc3200? Im relatively new to A64, and also my cooling is adequate so that is not my limiting factor.

Also to mention i ran the 2.4 ghz at stock voltage and it was prime stable and other various tools i used to test.

This is what im currently running,

Current Setup:

Sorry for the long thread, id just like to max out the performance of my system. And as probably obvious i am a newb :D .

I would suggest you use the search tool before posting.

There are several threads and stickies that will guide you thru the neccesary steps to overclock a A64.

A user name (cf)Eclipse can help you best.

He's the president of the socket 939 club :D
