right now its a blue case with a side window....and a red light. I want to split my IDE cables and taped them blue and put black zips on them. Also going to add a blowhole on top once i get the IDE thing done. any other suggestions? ;)

tell us what case it is?

post pictures?

get rid of it and get a Lian-Li?

suggestion: use tenses in the right form. anyway, we need pictures of what you have now in order to help you later.

i already split the IDE cables and iam deciding what tape to tape them in. sorry for any bad spellinngs, i've haven't had much sleep cause of social things...
i just use electrical tape... basically any tape is good as long as it stays on nice and looks good

quite possibly and window and handles on the top

Instead of splitting and taping the IDE ribbons as you have suggested, I would recomend folding and wrapping them with some blue split loom. You can find some on line or if you don't want to pay shipping charges, you should be able to find it at a local auto parts store. The problem with taping the ribbons, is that after a while, the tape deteriorates and gets stickey and nasty looking on the outside portions, especially when exposed to the heat your computer can generate.

ditch the front door and give it to me :) j/k (unless you really don't want it :D )

I would just go for some rounded cables off the shelf. They're really cheap and look 20x better than homemade round cables.

i would suggest a new case. that case in my words sucks.

if your looking for somthing to mod put handles on it paint the inside white or black add some nice leds in it. put a fan/temp control on it. possible a lcd in side window?

just buy the cables its gunna save u a lot of time and if you screw up then your going to have to buy more and do it again just buy the round cables

its almost impossible to screw up.... its THAT simple... just split the wires, and tape...just gotta be careful, thats all

I disagree...its pretty simple to twitch with a razor blade in hand :)

maybe if you have arthritis or some sort? ;)
jk

what i do is just take a blade and push it thru a lil and then peel it apart with my fingers

that way i dont slice the whole cable with the blade

well of course. really my point is while some things are worthwhile doing yourself...this isn't one of them. I'd rather use that time to hide some wires and go spend $15 on cables that look better than anything I could produce. just my $0.02 :)

as a side note, I did, however, actually round my own cables once, but that was years ago when it was the cool thing to do and you couldn't buy them in stores. still use em too. just split into groups of 4 or 5 and stacked and tied them, then coated the whole cable with "liquid electrical tape." looks kinda shoddy but oh well. they'll come out when I get off my ass and put in these black ribbons that I jacked out of the box of a friends new motherboard (he dun care wtf color his cables are :) )

the cables arnt that expensive and much easier than doing home made.

what is split looms???

You can find it very commonly used under the hood of a car. Split loom is a ribbed plastic tube that has been cut lengthwise to organize wires. It is availabe at most auto parts stores, you can also find it in various colors at specialty auto parts stores that cater to sports cars and pricey imports. You can also find it on some web sites that sell modding supplies, if you don't mind paying a slightly higher price plus shipping charges.

you may also want to try something called "Tommy tape". Basically it's tape with no glue on it, but when you wrap something with it, it adheres to itself and nothing else in about 24hours.
