What port is this? It is an old radeon 7000 card taken out of an old dell, my vga to dvi adapters do not fit on it,
building a new computer for someone and rather than get a new monitor I figured I could get an adapter that goes from this to standard dvi.

In the article I link above, note that the DVI-I socket (which is what I thought this was at first) has 8 square holes to the right, while the M1-DA socket has 10.

"M1-DA connectors are sometimes labeled as DVI-M1; they are used for the VESA Enhanced Video Connector and VESA Plug and Display schemes." The picture is also titled "DVI M1-DA Dual-Link + USB".

While I've never heard of these before, I think these cables on monoprice.com are the ones you need:

Adapters seem to be $15-20. At that price might as well get a new card, since newer stuff will be better than a Radeon 7000. Also, if you're building a new computer, why not just use integrated. It'll probably be much better than the Radeon 7000.

I wasnt going to use the old radeon card in the new computer, the monitor that they have has the same end on it, so rather than buy a new monitor, i just wanted an adapter
